Morder.A is a Trojan affecting Android devices that poses as a .pdf reader which is not distributed through the official app store. Once installed, the app will attempt to obtain administrator privileges so it cannot be deleted. The malware is capable of leaking contact information to the attacker, uploading SD card data, tracking the victim’s location, deleting and downloading files, leaking phone call history, taking pictures with the device’s camera, recording audio and calls, and executing shell commands. The malware can be removed by deleting the offending app.
