An administrative error led to the exposure of confidential academic data belonging to 1,700 Rutgers University students in the Department of Computer Science. The incident, which took place between November 8 and November 9, exposed limited student information including Rutgers ID numbers, cumulative GPAs, and Spring 2018 class schedules. No personally identifiable information (PII), such as Social Security numbers or dates of birth, were compromised as a result of the error. The NJCCIC recommends affected students update their account credentials as soon as possible.
