Beware of email attachments

It is important to be alert when clicking on attachments in an email. Never open email attachments if you are unsure about the origin or reason for the attachment. If you receive an attachment from a friend or coworker be cautious and verify that it was legitimately sent by them. Malicious actors will often take advantage of spelling mistakes in the email address or body of the email to trick you into opening an attachment seemingly from someone you know or trust.
