We Heart It

We Heart It, an image-sharing website, has informed over 8 million account holders that their personal data such as email addresses, usernames, and encrypted passwords may have been compromised. According to TechCrunch, the breach occurred a few years ago and impacts We Heart It accounts created between 2008 and November 2013. The company claims that, although the passwords were encrypted, they were not secure. The NJCCIC recommends We Heart It users change their passwords to this and any other sites that share login credentials, enable multi-factor authentication on any accounts that offer it, and be on alert for phishing campaigns associated with the breach.
