Update: Huawei Router Vulnerability Exploit Code Now Public

According to researchers at NewSky Security, the Satori malware code used to exploit a previously reported vulnerability in Huawei HG532 routers was posted publicly on the text-sharing website, Pastebin. Threat actors can use this code to create botnets and exploit the vulnerability and take control of affected routers. The NJCCIC recommends users and administrators of affected Huawei routers review Huawei’s updated Security Notice, configure their routers’ built-in firewall or deploy a firewall at the carrier side, and change the default password.
